Perhaps some of you are already thinking about taking time off in 2025. We will give you tips on how to effectively use the public holidays in Poland in 2025 by combining them with your vacation days.

It looks like the 2025 calendar will provide us with a favorable arrangement of public holidays, which, when combined with weekends, will give us the opportunity for a longer period of relaxation.

List of Public Holidays in Poland in 2025

We would like to remind you that according to the Polish Labour Code, if a holiday with a fixed date falls on a Saturday, the employee is entitled to an additional day off. The date is agreed upon individually with the employer.

In the new year 2025, the list of public holidays is as follows:

January

  • January 1st – New Year’s Day (Wednesday)
  • January 6th – Epiphany (Monday)

April

  • April 20th – Easter Sunday
  • April 21st – Easter Monday

May

  • May 1st – Labour Day (Thursday)
  • May 3rd – Constitution Day (Saturday)

June

  • June 8th – Pentecost (Sunday)
  • June 19th – Corpus Christi (Thursday)

August

  • August 15th – Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Friday)

November

  • November 1st – All Saints’ Day (Saturday)
  • November 11th – Independence Day (Tuesday)

December

  • December 24th – Christmas Eve (Wednesday) We are waiting for an amendment to the law, according to which Christmas Eve will be a public holiday starting from 2025!
  • December 25th – Christmas Day (Thursday)
  • December 26th – Boxing Day (Friday)

When to take time off in Poland in 2025?

To save your own vacation days, we encourage you to take time off during the statutory public holidays. For example:

  1. New Year’s Day and Epiphany – If we take two days off (i.e. January 2nd and 3rd), we will have a total of 6 days off.
  2. May Day – May 1st-4th (Thursday-Sunday). If we plan vacation for Friday, May 2nd, we will enjoy four days off.
  3. Corpus Christi – June 19th-22nd (Thursday-Sunday). One day off on June 20th will give us four days off.
  4. Polish Armed Forces Day, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary – August 15th (Friday). If you can afford more time off, taking four days of vacation will give us 9 days of relaxation, i.e., from August 9th to 17th.
  5. Independence Day – November 8th-11th (Saturday-Tuesday). Taking vacation on November 10th will give us four days off.
  6. Christmas Holidays – December 20th-28th (Saturday-Sunday). If we take vacation on December 22nd, 23rd, and 24th, we can have a total of 9 days off!
